GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

On Sunday February 17th, 2013 we lost one of the world's greatest guys ever, Papa (Josh's Grandpa). We were so very saddened by this news, but there were no regrets. We got to spend a lot of time with him and we are so thankful for that. Papa is one of the best guys I have ever met. He was always the jokester. He could come up with a joke about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Whenever he was around there were lots and lots of smiles. Papa was also quick to serve. If anyone needed help, neighbors, family, friends or even strangers, he was the first one there and of course with his handsome smile! He LOVED being around people no matter what it meant. He not only was the first to be there to help, but he did it so willingly and made it much more fun. Papa was a very intelligent man. He could remember things better than anyone I have ever met. He was Josh's best friend and biggest example. For this I am FOREVER grateful. He taught him many things and helped shaped him into the wonderful man he is today. Josh and I were able to get married on Papa and Grandma's 50th anniversary. They both were so excited about this, as were Josh and I, and we are so excited to be able to share our anniversary with two of the greatest and selfless people that I know. I am so grateful for our knowledge that families WILL be together forever. We love and miss you Papa and look forward to seeing you again!!

WIND CAVES

So a month (possibly 2) ago Josh surprised me with a hike up the wind caves. What a little cutie! I LOVE fall time and he knew the leafs would be changing and also it was something different for us to do. So we decided to go one Friday morning that I did not have to work. (Woot Woo!!) We also decided to invite our best friend Scotty! It really was such a fun hike, even though I about died. Ha ha, not even kidding!.. Josh and Scott were so cute to put up with me. I had to take a couple breaks. I'm not really sure how many because if you ask me it is a much lower number than if you ask my cute husband or Scotty. But they were good sports and put up with my nonsense anyways!

                                               The beginning..
                                              Cache Valley is so pretty!
                                                My cute husband and me!
                                               Scotty boy
What a trooper he was for putting up with me!
We decided to do a little exploring.

The love of my life and my best friend!!

DATE NIGHT!

We finally got a night to go out and have a little date! Josh surprised me with my favorite thing... MINI GOLF! It was so much fun. We made a little bet for who won.. sadly Josh won, and he even gave me a five stroke advantage. But that's okay because it sure would be sad if he got beat by a girl. ;). Here a few pictures from our night!

HONEYMOONERS

After many changes in plans Josh and I finally decided to go to Florida for our honeymoon. We were so excited! We were taking the red eye flight out Friday night/Saturday morning.. so that meant a LONG break after our luncheon before we had to head out to the airport. No big deal right?.. So after we had gone to our nicely decorated vehicle, drove to the car wash (being followed by family honking the whole way) and got our car all cleaned up we headed up to my parents so I could finish packing. When I was done we headed down to Josh's mom's house so he could pack and so we could eat some of our wedding cake! Then it was off to the airport!! We got parked, got through security and headed to our gate. The long plane ride to Florida was beginning! We flew all night and got into Orlando about 10:00 AM. We went straight to our hotel to see if we could do an early check in, but they said they were just cleaning our room and they would call when we could check in. We went to a mall to kill time and got a call a little after 1:00 PM to go check in... it felt like FOREVER!! We went and got checked in and what not, and then slept till about 7:00 PM since we had been up for over 24 hours. We went to dinner and then our trip began!!....

We ate at a restaurant called Jonny Rockets. It was a cute little 50's diner place and so YUMMY!!
They would bring you out these little dishes, with smiley faces in them, for ketchup!
My handsome husband!! I sure love him!
We had a couple take a picture for us.. they were really nice and asked us a few questions. When they found out we were from Utah, they asked Josh if he had gone on a Joseph Smith Polygamy Trek when he was 14. We weren't really sure what he was talking about until he said "ahh you know.. I see them out here in their white shirts and ties on their bikes waving with their little black tags on." We realized they were talking about a Mission so Josh quickly explained that it's called a mission, you can go at the age of 19 and yes he did. Haha.. it was then that I realized we were definitely not in Utah anymore!!
Ate at Cheesecake Factory twice while we were there! This was the delicious Reece's cheesecake!
We went to go see the Orlando Temple and caught some lizards on our walk over.
                                                     The lizards were EVERYWHERE!!
The beautiful Orlando Temple.. I wish we could have done a session.
We went on Sunday so we couldn't go onto the grounds. But this was pretty close!
Next stop.. Kennedy Space Center. It was AMAZING!
A little 3D movie about Astronauts.
Daytona Beach! Oh it was beautiful. The ocean was so warm too!
As you walked along the beach you would see jelly fish everywhere. Kinda cool.
We also made a stop at the Daytona Speedway. It was really fun to see such a famous place! (BELOW)
One day we went shopping and got caught in a monsoon!! It was so fun and wet!
This is the Epcot Center.. the only Disney park we had time to visit, but very worth it!

Our quick little visit to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower..

Josh kept talking like he was french.. a little embarrassing at times, but very funny too!
I thought these telephone booths were so cute!
Went to a Tampa Bay Rays game at their inside dome.

We were about 7 rows up on the third base line.. It was so cool!
Josh singing call me maybe! It was on a lot so he learned the words really fast!

That was our fun first vacation together and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. We LOVED Florida so much and we definitely would go back again!!
